Learning to Blog

The learning curve continues. I've managed to update some of the information and add a photo. Hopefully the next time I blog, I will be able to add some pictures of the quilts I've made through the years.

Many of these quilts were inspired by Alex Anderson and her show 'Simply Quilts.' I've made a Bargello in fiery colors (palate my niece chose); a Double Irish Chain in purple with photos of my niece and her family; a log cabin quilt-as-you-go in greens; and many, many others.

Inspiration comes from every where. Don't you find that to be true?

Once I worked for a residential home service provider and used the company's business card as a design for a small wall hanging. This turned into a project that two department's undertook and we presented it to the owner at an awards ceremony. It was a fun team-building project as everyone had a hand in it.

New Blogger

Well, I'm entering the blogging world. I've been quilting for a number of years and have recently begun machine quilting. I have a Little Gracie II quilting frame still in the box. I'm waiting to get my sewing studio set up so I can play with it.

Bear with me while I learn how to upload pictures and this whole blogging thing.
